华南理工大学教授，博士生导师，广东省引进“科技创新领军人才”，科技部重大研究计划首席科学家。
2003年于日本大阪大学医学院获博士学位，2003至2005年在美国国立癌症研究所(NCI)任博士后，2005年至2010年,在美国约翰霍普金斯大学医学院任博士后及助理研究员，2010年至2017年任中国科学技术大学教授，2017年起任华南理工大学医学院教授 。
在 Nature、Cancer Cell、Nature Cancer，Cell Metabolism、Nature Metabolism、Nature Communications、EMBO J、Blood 等杂志发表论文70多篇，论文他引12000次以上。
主要研究方向为肿瘤及干细胞代谢的调控机制，研究工作得到了科技部重大研究计划、中科院先导项目、国家自然科学基金委、广东省珠江人才计划等资助 。

Obtained a Ph.D. from the Osaka University School of Medicine in Japan in 2003, served as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the United States from 2003 to 2005, and as a postdoctoral fellow and assistant researcher at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2005 to 2010. From 2010 to 2017, served as a professor at the University of Science and Technology of China, and has been a professor at the South China University of Technology School of Medicine since 2017.
Published more than 70 papers in journals such as Nature, Cancer Cell, Nature Cancer, Cell Metabolism, Nature Metabolism, Nature Communications, EMBO Journal, and Blood, with over 12,000 citations.
Main research focus is on the regulatory mechanisms of tumor and stem cell metabolism. Research work has been supported by the Major Research Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Pioneer Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Guangdong Pearl River Talent Program.
